Chalet Petit Mouton

About Chalet Le Petit Mouton

Chalet 'Le Petit Mouton’ offers luxury accommodation, usually associated with that of a fully catered chalet, on a self-catered basis. Our aim is to offer the comfort and all the mod cons of a 5 star property without the rigid dining schedule that often comes with it.
Giving you flexibility to explore local restaurants and experience the vibrant apres-ski scene, or to just kick back in front of the fire if you have over-indulged at lunch.
Managing the chalet ourselves we offer the peace of mind of dealing directly with the owner rather than an intermediary agent.

Saas Fee

A beautiful, car free village situated at 1800m in the Valais region of Switzerland

Saas Fee is known as The Pearl of the Alps; dramatically nestled amidst a stunning ring of thirteen 4000+ metre mountain peaks, and with a snow record envied by the rest of the Alps due to its high altitude and glacier - offers year round skiing at up to 3600m.
Saas Fee oozes charm, and has a wonderful, traditional Swiss character with its car-free, pedestrianised streets flanked by quaint chalets and cowsheds. Enjoy the pure mountain air and the blissful absence of traffic and its noise.

Saas Fee, nicknamed ‘the pearl of the alps’ due to its unrivalled beauty.

Saas Fee has the highest underground funicular railway in the world (Metro Alpin) whisking you to a breathtaking 3500m. The resort boasts 145km of pistes and an excellent board park. With a comprehensive resort level beginner area, a variety of undulating blue and red runs, itinerary run moguls and a selection of off-piste to try (with a guide) Saas Fee has something for everyone.
With Saas Fee’s microclimate offering consistently good snow and the glacier it continues to be a snow-sure destination. For non-skiers Saas Fee offers many winter mountain walking trails, sledging, ice-skating, indoor pool and wellness centre, shops and boutiques and ‘CofFee' - a buzzing coffee shop with a chilled vibe.

Relax and revive yourself amid the impressive wildlife and flora of Saas Fee, a summer paradise.

Saas Fee has a vibrant summer season. With 350km of hiking trails to explore, mountain biking, high ropes courses, zip wires, via ferrata and marmots to feed, you will never be short of something to do. Not forgetting summer skiing on the glacier. There is also a driving range, mini golf, tennis courts, various summer concerts and weekly street markets to keep you entertained.
The weather in July and August is invariably sunny so there is plenty of opportunity to sunbathe on one of the chalet’s many balconies or enjoy a barbecue in our private garden. It is a great alternative to your typical summer holiday, particularly fun with teenage children with boundless energy.

Saas Fee is a culinary delight in both winter and summer, ranging from Michelin star dining to great rustic pizzas.

Gastronomes will want to head for the superb Michelin-starred ‘Fletschhorn’ deep in the forest. For less deep pockets you can also try their fine cuisine at the more relaxed ‘Speilboden’ on the mountain. The quirky ‘Bodmen’ has great food and a varied menu and is very welcoming to smaller guests. 'Zur Mühle’ is a cosy and more grown up take on local specialities - the steak tartar and champagne truffle fondue are not to be missed. Good authentic Italian food can be found at ‘Don Ciccio’s’ and excellent, good value pizza’s at ‘Chämi-Stuba’, both on the main high street.
On the mountain there is a variety of choices; good quality self-service food and a large terrace at ‘Morenia’ restaurant, fine cuisine at ‘Speildboden’, reasonably priced hot dogs and kebabs at ‘The Rock’ on Längfluh, and the world’s highest revolving restaurant - ‘Threesixty’ with phenomenal views at the top of the Metro Alpin. Saas Fee has a lively apres-ski scene at the foot of the slopes centred around the terraces of Zur Mühle and Black Bull Bar.

Saas Fee is well connected to the major airports by Switzerland’s efficient train and bus services - SBB
